Van Phuc Silk Village, now called Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, is located about 11km northwest of Hanoi. It is an ancient Vietnamese village located near the poetic winding Nhue River.

With the revolutionary tradition and traditional silk weaving with history of more than 1,000 years, skillful hands, hard-working spirit, intelligence and creativity, the people here make smooth silk strips imbued with traditional Vietnamese culture, Van Phuc silk is famous across the country and the world.

Today, in course of integration into global economy, with the orientation of Hanoi City and Ha Dong District, we will build Van Phuc to become a typical “handicraft village – tourism village” of Ha Dong District in particular and Hanoi in general.

The Communist Party and people have worked hard to develop the heroic tradition and hard-working, creative and profession-loving spirit with the determination to make Van Phuc become a “Handicraft village – Revolution Village – Tourism village” which is an ideal destination for domestic and international tourists.
